This month, you can celebrate your four-legged friend with a trip to your favorite restaurant, bar, or hotel during National Dog Day. Taking place Thursday, August 26, a large number of South Florida establishments are welcoming our furry friends by giving them all a seat at the proverbial dinner table.
From Broward County to Miami, here is a list of pet-friendly places to visit, many of which are organizing a variety of fun programs for furry friends offered ahead of — and during — this fun holiday.

DOG FRIENDLY DEALS & DINING
American Social
American Social Fort Lauderdale is hosting a happy hour specially curated for you and your furry friends in honor of International Dog Day. From 4 to 7 p.m., guests and their favorite companions can find dog- and human-friendly specials. Enjoy Tito’s Cocktails and doggie bites ranging from $5 to $10, and enjoy knowing a portion of proceeds are going towards a good cause: American Social will be donating 50% of Tito’s proceeds to Chasing Freedom Dog Rescue.
Shooters Waterfront
Shooters offers canine cuisine at its best with its very own Doggy Menu for furry, four-legged diners. Shooters' Doggy Menu, with items ranging from $8 to $14, includes savory, veterinary-approved meals carefully prepared for man's best friend, like the Bahia Beef pup-perfected with USDA ground beef, whole wheat macaroni, butternut squash, organic carrots, apples, kale, organic pumpkin seed oil, organic hemp oil and a blend of essential vitamins and minerals. While you are enjoying Shooters Waterfront’s famous brunch buffet, your pup will be enjoying their very own gourmet meal. The Doggy Menu was crafted by Meals for Dogs in Fort Lauderdale.
Casa Sensei
East meets South at Casa Sensei, a culturally immersive restaurant in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale that combines Pan-Asian flavors with the dynamic culinary traditions of Latin America. The pet-friendly eatery offers guests and their pups an unforgettable dining experience with “doggie sushi,” tailored and hand-rolled bites with either chicken and rice or veggies and rice. Guests and their best furry friend can enjoy these inspired rolls while relaxing on Casa Sensei’s outdoor waterfront dock overlooking the Himmarshee Canal. Casa Sensei’s immersive human dining menu can also be enjoyed simultaneously with your pup! Quarterdeck
Quarterdeck is Fort Lauderdale's neighborhood hangout known for its chill vibes with large outdoor patio area — perfect for you and your pup. Quarterdeck offers a special Puppy Chow menu for hungry furry friends with dishes including Grilled Chicken with Rice ($6), Bacon ($4), Sweet Potato Treats ($2), and an Unseasoned Hamburger Patty ($5) all served with a bowl of ice water. Dine with your pup and order up some Tito’s Puptails (cocktails) such as The Daily Walk ($10), made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Fresh Brewed Tea and Lemonade; The Brindle ($10), with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Orange Juice, Sparkling Mineral Water and fresh blackberries; and Paw Dras ($10), with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice and Cranberry Juice. Necessary Purveyor at The Lincoln Eatery
The Lincoln Eatery is located adjacent to Lincoln Road, South Beach’s famed pedestrian shopping, dining and people watching street, the urban food collective houses a curated selection of 13 unique dining and drinking options featuring an eclectic assortment of global culinary concepts. If you are looking for a dog-friendly venue in the food hall, Necessary Purveyor has you covered. The restaurant features a pet friendly patio and sells homemade dog jerky for all your furry friends. While making your furry friend happy, enjoy menu highlights such as the Green Forager ($13.50) made on ZTB multigrain bread with avocado, cucumber, kale, watercress, mozzarella, red radish, daikon radish, alfalfa sprouts, and cilantro aioli, or The Shepherd ($13) prepared on sourdough with everroast chicken, swiss cheese, romaine, heirlooms, cilantro, avocado, jalapeno topped off with lusty monk dijon spread.
XO Espresso Bar at The Lincoln Eatery
This chic specialty coffee bar has roasted up some fresh deals for International Dog Day. Pups will be served a complimentary Puppuccino when you bring your pooch with you on your coffee run. Each cup is hand-crafted by professional baristas who are just as enthusiastic as they are knowledgeable about coffee. XO Espresso offers both blends and single-origin brews sourced from various spots around the globe. Miami locals and tourists will be able to indulge in the entire XO Espresso range of premium coffee, CBD products, wellness drinks, and organic teas. With a range of small bites and pastries to match, the menu is designed to share with friends or simply keep you fueled any time on the go. XO is focused on creating environments where customers are immersed in the experience and leave feeling like a local.
Verde, located in Pérez Art Museum Miami with sweeping views of Biscayne Bay, is a casual restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. Arrive early and bring the pooch — it's always OK, and enjoy delicious brunch items crafted by the culinary team before taking your furry friend on a long walk in nearby Maurice A. Ferré Park. Highlights from the menu include smoked salmon benedict ($21) made with poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, smoked salmon and served with housemade latke, and blueberry basil pancakes ($15) topped with lemon curd, and blueberry basil compote. EST.33 Thai Craft Kitchen & Brewery
At EST.33 Thai Craft Kitchen & Brewery Asian flavors meet the distinctive techniques of American barbecue paired with refreshing beers brewed onsite. Located on the fourth floor of Brickell City Centre, EST.33 showcases a harmonious blend of Eastern and Western cultures and the ever-evolving experimentation and exploration of new beer styles. THesis Hotel and Mamey Miami
All types of pets are always welcome at THesis Hotel — especially pups, which have their new #THesisPetLife perks like comfortable beds, cute bowls by Paco & Lucia, and treats prepared by local bakery, Bullie Bites. Small grassy areas along the hotel grounds and an expansive park right across the street, make it super pet friendly. For the people, amenities include a sun-filled rooftop pool with tropical views and a poolside bar, as well as the venue's two on-site restaurants, Mamey and Orno. Culinary enthusiasts and their pups can indulge in delicious cuisine at Mamey by James Beard Nominee and Food & Wine Award-Winning chef Niven Patel. Dogs are welcome throughout the property, including on Mamey’s patio as well as Mamey on 3rd, an island-minded rooftop oasis serving happy hour and bites daily, from Chef Patel. This vibrant rooftop extension of Mamey Miami is a tropical retreat nestled on the third floor of the THesis Hotel.
The Gabriel Miami
The Gabriel Miami is a 129-key lifestyle hotel in Downtown Miami, offering spacious rooms and suites, a Dermanova Med Spa & Salon, and views of Biscayne Bay. For pets checking into The Gabriel, they’ll receive a “Doggy Bag'' welcome amenity that includes an assortment of treats and toys. Once they arrive in the guestroom, they’ll be greeted with a branded dog bowl, mat and plush dog bed. There's even a pup-focused curated turndown service, offering an evening treat bedside. THe hotel team has a curated puppy itinerary with suggested off property walking areas including Bicentennial Park located directly across the street. The itinerary also includes pet-friendly dining options in the area. There is a $50 pet fee (per pet) and a 65-pound weight restriction.
The Balfour Miami Sandy Paws Package
Don’t leave your pup behind when staying at the The Balfour Hotel Miami Beach. They understand how important your furry friends are, and are proud to offer dog-friendly accommodations and amenities for your four-legged family members. When you book our Ocean Sandy Paws offer, your furry friend will receive a goodie bag upon arrival with the following: portable water bowl, dog treat, dog toy, doggy bags, and a clip-on doggy bag dispenser. The package also includes a treat for the owner, a waived pet fee of $150 for length of stay. Please note we allow dogs up to 40 pounds. Known formerly as the Lord Balfour, the South Of Fifth neighborhood hotel recently went under a $3.8 million improvement has renovation, upgrading the guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, major upgrades to public spaces and the lobby, the remodelling of the courtyard and pool area and the creation of a new fitness and wellness studio.
The Marker Key West Harbor Resort Pups in Paradise
