CORDOVA CLOSING

All good things must come to an end.

The Cordova Quarterdeck opened on a fall day in October 1966 as a Big Daddy’s Liquor Store and Lounge

and will close it’s doors on April 21, 2019!

53 years on 17th street and in Rio Vista!

That’s a real good thing.

What is your favorite memory?

The disco ball? DJ booth? Dance floor?
The fire truck?
Pool tables? QD Cafe?
First date?

Maybe you were a Quarterdeck employee?

Maybe it was your first job?

For over 100, it was!

Come out and celebrate with us!

My favorite watering hole for four decades. Kudos to Artie, Paula, Gary, Dana and DJ Kevin Collins! If it wasn’t the last stop it was the only stop. Seventies and eighties were the best! Great clientele and staff. Great memories and good times. The new location looks huge. Hopefully a dance floor to cut the cut the carpet one again. Good luck cheers on the new location!

Will there be a complimentary shuttle to the new place for the regulars that after years of loyal patronage still show up to Cordova out of habit? It’s hard to make an old dog do new tricks and that extra 100 yard walk is long. 🙂

Believe it or not Nick we are actually working on a shuttle system to transport locals to and from the Quarterdeck and their homes in Harbordale/Rio Vista. Soon you won’t have to walk at all!

Where I dated my husband and after getting married years later, went into labor with our daughter sitting at the bar—bunny was working the bar that night 💕
