It’s Yappy Hour: South Florida Restaurants Celebrating International Dog Day

Quarterdeck is Fort Lauderdale’s neighborhood hangout known for its chill vibes with large outdoor patio area — perfect for you and your pup. Quarterdeck offers a special Puppy Chow menu for hungry furry friends with dishes including Grilled Chicken with Rice ($6), Bacon ($4), Sweet Potato Treats ($2), and an Unseasoned Hamburger Patty ($5) all served with a bowl of ice water. Dine with your pup and order up some Tito’s Puptails (cocktails) such as The Daily Walk ($10), made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Fresh Brewed Tea and Lemonade; The Brindle ($10), with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Orange Juice, Sparkling Mineral Water and fresh blackberries; and Paw Dras ($10), with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice and Cranberry Juice. Pair your cocktail with some of Quarterdeck’s menu classics such as the Tuna Philly ($14), with Yellowfin tuna, with peppers, onions, cheese, and white wasabi; the Spider Roll ($17), made with deep-fried soft-shell crab, lettuce, avocado, and topped with seared tuna; or the Jumalaya ( $17), made with shrimp, chicken, andouille sausage, kale, green and red peppers, red onion, Cajun seasoning, and fresh parsley served over Cajun rice or linguini. Guests can indulge in brunch items on the weekends from 11:30AM-4PM, with options ranging from Avocado Toast ($9), Chicken and Waffles ($13), or the Hangover Burger topped with a fried egg ($14).

The Best Mother’s Day Brunches In South Florida

It’s wine o’clock this Mother’s Day at your local Quarterdeck. To celebrate moms this Mother’s Day all Quarterdeck locations will offer half off any wine by the glass as well as half off all bottles of wine, all day long for moms. There are no restrictions or excluded wines and the entire wine list can be viewed here. Moms can pair their favorite wine with popular brunch dishes such as the Chicken and Waffles ($12), a Belgian waffle topped with honey butter, a maple glaze and candied roasted pecans plated with crispy fried chicken; Avocado Toast ($9), homemade avocado puree and pumpkin seeds on ciabatta bread; French Toast ($10), french toast topped with mascarpone butter, maple syrup and fresh fruit; and Shrimp and Grits ($15), blackened shrimp, white cheddar jalapeno grits, eggs, peppers and onions, and toast. Quarterdeck has five locations throughout Broward County, including their flagship and newest location which shares a beautiful outdoor courtyard with their sister bar Whiskey Neat. All locations open at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 9.
